3 Nations Cup, Round 2 -

Baarn, Netherlands

The next round of the 2015 3 Nations Cup Series was held in Baarn, Netherlands. Situated near the coastal city of Amsterdam, Baarn is renoun for its windy conditions.

Saturday saw Axel racing, and he managed to make his way through the motos, 1/8-, 1/4- and semi-finals into the main. A late gate saw him having to come from the middle of the pack, but he fought his way into second by the first corner and held onto that to the line.

On Sunday the Championship classes also participated, with Liam lining up in the Junior men class. The conditions were worse than saturday with stronger winds and rain, making the conditionss even more challenging for the riders. A decision from the race commission to close the por section came minutes before the end of training.

Axel again managed to work through all the qualifiers and into the mains, were he battled with the Saturdays winner down the first straight, getting the upper hand into turn 1, and taking the lead and racing it home from there.

Liam managed some good placings int he motos, getting himself into the finals, and with the wet gate amanged a safe start, giving himself some work down the first straight, sliding ingo second coming out the first corner, and holding that position to the line, scoring some valuable UCI points on the day.
